Losses are tough to take on their own. When that loss comes on the back of a performance like the one we saw at the Rio Tinto — well, that’s another matter altogether. An organized Columbus Crew that was motivated and successful from the…
We’ve been hitting our stride in recent weeks, but two unfortunate absences mean the side must exercise a degree of caution — and creativity — to continue their recent form and claim Columbus Crew as the latest victim of a drubbing. Luis…
In an historic move for Major League Soccer, the MLS Disciplinary Committee has handed down a one-match ban for Real Salt Lake striker Alvaro Saborio following an act of simulation in Saturday’s match against San Jose Earthquakes. The…

Well, well, well! What a match that one was. Four goals, one San Jose team that looked very poor, and one dodgy penalty that will inevitably dominate the headlines. I’ll address that in time, but I’ll lead with a bit of hedging: It was…
With a bit more time to consider the lineup, I do think we could see one change from what I proposed yesterday. Rather than dropping Arturo Alvarez in, we might instead see Andy Williams in the tip of the diamond. Alvarez should be fit,…
