The interminable pain of losing is wrenching, but it doesn't compare to the pain of drawing and dropping out of the group stages. Losing sure would have hurt, but there's something worse about playing well and not winning. And let's be…
I think my fingers have fallen off from continually typing "do-or-die." Over and over, but such has been the way of things since, well, we lost to Herediano at their place. That quality hasn't changed, but my confidence? Well, that's…
After last week's thought experiment — "What would we do with a significantly weakened midfield?" I asked — let's embark on another one. This one's a bit closer to home: What would we do without Espindola and Saborio? It's close to home…

Much like the titular character in the modern indie classic Super Meat Boy , our midfield has been left exposed and vulnerable. Thankfully, it's not literally that they have no skin (and figuratively, they're generally thick-skinned and…
Editor's Note: Hello, again! Kreg Asay is back with his weekly power rankings overview. Do take a look and remark on it, won't you? Isn't it fascinating how we've improved after a good week? It's funny, we almost switched spots with the…
Let's take a look at the reserves match against Houston Dynamo from yesterday and figure out exactly what happened. In a 5-5 draw, so many things happen, it's difficult to really separate all those concerns. Alas, a try shall be given,…
